The 8 Best Steakhouses in Lisbon, Portugal

1. C.O.W Beef & Cocktails
C.O.W opened in Santos over 3 years ago and it’s well centred in the “steakhouse business”. It’s a specialist in meat and serves the best cocktails. You can find there a good ambiance with a low light and cleaned space for you to enjoy the food.
There are some well thought decorations in the restaurant. In one of the walls you can find an illustration of a cow and the various parts of the cow and the meat cuts.
It’s well located, in a youth area full of fun!

2. Byf Steakhouse
BYF is another steakhouse which is different from the usual. It prepares the beef cuts in a special way which makes the meat tender. You can accompany your steak with some sauces: mushroom, blue cheese, bearnese or even 3 peppers. Always choose a sauce to make the meat more tasteful. There are also side dishes for you to taste with the beef. There are side dishes for all the tastes but my favourite is mashed sweet potatoes and crumbs or mashed spinach (spinach make us stronger!).
BYF steakhouse is in Saldanha, also a centred area in Lisbon which you can reach by metro.

4. Atalho Real
Atalho Real is located in the famous Embaixada (Palacete Ribeiro da Cunha) in Príncipe Real. It has a pretty view to Jardim Botânico de Lisboa.

This restaurant is curious as you can have 2 different experiences throughout the year: during summer and during winter.

During winter, you’ll be inside the building, in one of the vintage rooms they have. During summer, this situation changes radically. The terrace is open for you to enjoy your dinner among the trees.

When you choose your steak at Atalho Real, don’t forget to ask for a good Portuguese red wine to accompany (ask for the advice of the waitress to choose it).

You will also find 2 wood ovens. For all the details, the unique space of the restaurant and the location, this restaurant highlights from the others.

Some of the most iconic dishes here are “Mini mix Grill”, perfect for two, and lam “carret”. The delicious “Legendary Tomahawk 1kg” whose high quality meat is served still on the bone. The best side dishes are the “Gratin Dauphinois” with bacon and the “Cheddar jalapeños Frittata”.

This restaurant is perfect for groups of friends and you might find fashion or sports celebrities dining here.

It’s different from the typical steakhouse restaurant, as it doesn’t smell, and the room is modern and clean.

Some special dishes are “Espetada à Carvoaria” and “Black pork medalhões with Bacon”. These are well-served with the side dishes.
