The Meco beach (or Moinho de Baixo Beach) is a beach next to Aldeia do Meco Village, on the west coast of Sesimbra municipality.

The beach of Aldeia do Meco remained largely unknown due to the isolation and difficult access. It began to gain fame in the summers in the beginning of the 1970s. A group of American, Swedish and Dutch hippies discovered the beach without road access. Fifteen years after the arrival of this group, the beach had become an holiday destination for some Lisbon's elite, composed mainly of artists, politicians, people from television and high finance.

Large (about 4 km) and sea sometimes wild, the south of the great dune part is legalized to the practice of naturism. Indeed, it was this fact that made famous the Meco Beach.
