Portuguese Torresmos Brancos (Fried Pork Belly)

This Portuguese torresmos brancos (fried pork belly) is quite simple and all you need is three ingredients: water, coarse sea salt and thickly cut pork belly pieces.


  • 6 lbs of pork belly cut into large pieces
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of coarse sea salt
  • Large cooking pot


  1. In a large pot, add 2 cups of water and the half a cup of coarse sea salt.
  2. Stir well and then add the pork pieces on top.
  3. Cook until the pork is golden brown and crispy.
