2 lbs of blackberries (about 4 cups)2 tablespoons of lemon juice2 cups of sugar

Directions

  1. Clean and wash the blackberries.
  2. Cover the fruit with water and simmer gently until tender.
  3. Add the lemon juice.
  4. Add the sugar.
  5. Return to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
  6. Allow it to simmer gently until setting point is reached.
