Ingredients

1/3 of a chicken2 carrots, sliced1 onion, sliced2 celery stalks, sliced6 kale leaves, broken into piecesSalt (to taste) Click here to get Portuguese food, ingredients & more at Amazon.com

Directions

  1. In a pan, cook the chicken in water with salt (to taste).
  2. Once the chicken is cooked, remove the chicken pieces and leave the broth in the pan.
  3. Add the vegetables to the broth and cook over medium heat.
  4. While the vegetables cook, remove the skin and bones from the chicken and shred the meat into small pieces.
  5. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the chicken to the pan and remove it from the heat.
