Portuguese Steak Sauce Recipe

This delicious Portuguese steak sauce recipe is easy to make and just pour it over the steak while you cook it or after, it's great for dipping your steak and fries.

Ingredients

1/2 cup of milk (about 120 ml)1 tablespoon of flour1 tablespoon of butter2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauceNutmeg (to taste)Pepper (to taste)Salt (to taste)

Directions

  1. In a small pan, heat the butter and stir until frothy, then add the flour, the milk gradually and the Worcestershire sauce, always beating with a wire rod until the sauce begins to boil.
  2. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens.
  3. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg, stir well and pour it over the steak either while cooking the steak or after.
