Shrimp Mozambique, also known as Camarão à Moçambique in Portuguese, is a traditional dish from Mozambique, a country located in southeastern Africa. It is a popular seafood dish that is made with fresh shrimp and a flavorful spicy sauce.

The dish's origins can be traced back to the Portuguese colonization of Mozambique in the 15th century. The Portuguese brought with them their culinary traditions, which heavily influenced the cuisine of Mozambique.

The sauce for shrimp Mozambique typically includes ingredients such as garlic, onions, tomatoes, chili peppers, and paprika. It is made by sautéing the aromatics in oil until they are tender and then simmering them in broth or white wine. The shrimp is then added to the sauce and cooked until it is pink and fully cooked through.

The dish is often served with rice or bread to soak up the delicious sauce. Fresh herbs, such as cilantro or parsley, are commonly used as a garnish to add freshness and color to the dish.

Shrimp Mozambique has become popular in other countries as well, such as Portugal, Brazil, and other Portuguese-speaking nations. It is a flavorful and satisfying dish that is perfect for seafood lovers and those who enjoy bold and spicy flavors.
