This recipe typically uses a tomato-based sauce and layers of noodles, cheese, and chouriço sausage.
To make Portuguese style chouriço lasagna, you will need to start by cooking the chouriço sausage until it is browned and crisp. Then, you can prepare the tomato sauce by sautéing onions and garlic in olive oil, adding canned tomatoes and herbs, and letting the mixture simmer for a while.
Next, you can assemble the lasagna by layering cooked lasagna noodles, tomato sauce, chouriço sausage, and shredded cheese. You can repeat this process until you have used up all of your ingredients, then bake the lasagna in the oven until it is heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
The resulting dish is a savory and satisfying meal that is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a gathering with friends. It goes great with a glass of red wine and a side salad.
