Portuguese potatoes with garlic sauce are simple to prepare and are a tasty and hearty addition to any meal. They are also a good source of carbohydrates, fiber, and vitamins.

Ingredients

8 small potatos, prewashed peeled or not and cut in halfWater (enough to cover the potatos by a bit)Salt (to taste)1/2 cup of olive oil4 cloves of garlic, chopped1 teaspoon of sweet paprika1 tablespoon of Portuguese crushed red pepper sauce (pimenta moida)1 tablespoon of red wine vinegarSalt (to taste)

Directions

  1. Cook the potatos in water with (salt to taste), bring to a boil and cook for about 15 minutes, drain the water and put aside the potatos.
  2. In a skillet, heat the olive oil.
  3. Add the garlic, leave for a few seconds then add the paprika, crushed red pepper sauce, red wine vinegar and salt (to taste).
  4. Stir everything, bring to a boil and simmer for about a minute.
  5. Place the potatos on a plate and drizzle some of the sauce over it.
