Ingredients

4 eggs5.8 oz (165 g) natural yogurt1/2 cup (130 ml) oil1 1/4 cups (265 g) sugar2 cups (240 g) all-purpose flour (without leavening agents)1 tsp baking powder1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa powder (heaping)Zest of 1/2 lemon Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. Separate the egg whites from the yolks.
  3. In a bowl, mix the yolks, sugar, oil, lemon zest, and yogurt.
  4. Beat until the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Add the flour and baking powder, then gently fold in the whipped egg whites.
  6. Divide the batter into two parts, adding vanilla to one half and cocoa to the other.
  7. Alternate spoonfuls of each batter in a greased pan until finished.
  8. Bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
