Portuguese Sweet Milk Pudding Recipe
- Blend together the eggs, sugar, condensed milk and milk.
- Make a caramel syrup with the water and sugar (in medium heat simmer the water and sugar until the syrup turns a golden caramel color). Pour into a pudding dish and spread evenly across the surface. Let it harden and pour the pudding batter on top.
- Bake in a water bath (banho maria) for about 45 minutes (do the toothpick test, if you are not sure; it's ready when the toothpick comes out moist but without pudding on it).
