Ingredients

1/2 cup honey1 cup sugar cane brandy1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup honey1 cup sugar cane brandy1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
Get Portuguese ingredients

Preparation

  1. In a pitcher, using a whisk, mix the honey and the lemon juice very well until it achieves a smooth and even consistency. The honey must be thoroughly dissolved in the lemon juice.
  2. Pour the brandy into the pitcher while stirring continuously.
  3. Pour the mixture into serving glasses. Serve.

Sounds good - will try this weekend. Thanks for the great posts Eddy! Here's one back at you - it's a riff on a Manhattan, substituting Full Rich Madeira wine (Justino's if available) in place of sweet vermouth. "The Funchal" (instead of Manhattan, get it? :) 2 parts rye whiskey (e.g. Canadian Club) 1 part Full Rich Madeira wine bitters to taste cherry Can be served on the rocks (just combine all ingredients and stir) or shaken (combine whiskey, Madeira wine, bitters and ice in a shaker, shake well, strain into a glass and add a cherry) Definitely adjust the whiskey - Madeira wine proportions to suit your own tastes. Enjoy!!
