Recipe Tips

To achieve a creamy texture, make sure to fully blend the milk and beaten eggs before mixing them with the cod and potatoes. This prevents any curdling and ensures a smooth consistency in the final dish.
When layering the potatoes, consider slightly overlapping them in a greased baking dish to create a more even cooking surface. Also, sprinkle a pinch of salt between layers to enhance the flavor of the potatoes.
Avoid using too much white wine, as it can overpower the delicate flavor of the cod. Start with a tablespoon or two, taste, and adjust as necessary to maintain a balanced flavor profile.
