Portuguese Coconut Tart (Pie) Recipe


This Portuguese coconut and condensed milk tart (tarte de coco e leite condensado), tastes great and has great texture.

Ingredients

1 roll of puff pastry7 eggs1 small can of condensed milk (10 oz)1 cup of grated coconutCoconut or powdered sugar to decorate

Get Portuguese ingredients

Instructions

  1. Spread the pastry in a pie pan, prick all over with a fork and set aside.
  2. Beat the whole eggs well, add the condensed milk and finally the coconut mixing it well. 
  3. Place this in the pie pan and bake at 180ºC or 350ºF in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
  4. When it's golden brown, remove from the oven, let it cool and decorate with coconut or powdered sugar.
