Ingredients

4 cups of flour2 sachets of instant dry yeast1 chouriço sausage1 teaspoon of coarse salt1 and 1/2 cups of warm water

Get Portuguese ingredients

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, place the flour, yeast and salt and mix everything.
  2. Pour the lukewarm water and stir with a wooden spoon.
  3. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let it rise for about an hour.
  4. Remove the skin from the chouriço ​​and cut it into thin slices. 
  5. Preheat the oven to 160°C or 320°F.
  6. Place the dough into a floured surface.
  7. Sprinkle with more flour and knead for a few minutes.
  8. Take small portions of dough and flatten it to form a rectangle.
  9. Place chouriço ​​slices on top, wrap it / roll it. 
  10. Lightly cut the tops of the buns and arrange them in a tray lined with parchment paper.
  11. Leave the buns spaced between eachother.
  12. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
