I was born in Flores. I grew up on this meal and festival. Still continue to go. I never had this dish with all those spices. Basically spearmint , cummin and cinnamon. It does look good but not the traditional meal I've eaten in any festival from all towns near me also.

Takes me back to when I was a kid growing up. My Vava and Vovo would pick me up from Hayward, California and travel to Bakersfield, California. We would stop at all the Portuguese fiestas along the way. My grandparents were from Faia,l Azores. Great memories. Love your recipe.
